My client is seeking a skilled Fostering Administrator to join their friendly and inclusive organisation. The ideal candidate will have proven administrative skills and will be able to adapt to change. Each day will present its own new challenges.

About The Workplace:

My client is an Independent child care agency located in Essex, that strives to provide safe, stable and nurturing care placements.

Duties

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the service.
  • Maintain both physical and digital filing systems to keep records accessible and organised.
  • To respond to all telephone or visitor enquiries respectfully and communicate effectively and appropriately.
  • Manage email correspondence and respond to digital queries promptly.
  • Ensure filing is completed and files are maintained appropriately, including archives.
  • Ability to take minutes of meetings including, team meetings, providing accurate typed records and disseminating records within agreed timescales.
  • Oversee calendars for senior staff, organise travel arrangements, and ensure all engagements are timely and well-coordinated.
  • To support the team with marketing, responding to calls, taking applicant details, sending out letters and information packs and assisting the team at outside events.
  • Undertaking the ordering of stock and processing of invoices.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread letters, reports, and other documents to support business communications.
  • Input and update data in various databases and spreadsheets accurately.
  • Create and edit documents using word processing and presentation software.
  • Collaborate with other administrative staff and provide cross-support as needed.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion to ensure confidentiality and compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and ensure that all deadlines are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good levels of literacy and numeracy skills
  • Typing, telephone and organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Experience of working in a fostering agency is an added advantage
  • Methodical and thorough approach to work

  • Good recording and record keeping skills

Other Information: An up-to-date Enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
