We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join our well-established secondary school in St. Neots. Starting in September 2024, this role is ideal for a qualified professional who has a passion for history and a proven track record of inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality history lessons that captivate and motivate our students.
- Develop and enhance the history curriculum in collaboration with the department.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
- Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
- Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and a love for history.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole-school training events.
- Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities and community events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- Relevant degree in history or a related subject.
- Experience teaching history in a secondary school environment.
- Strong subject knowledge with a passion for history.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- Willingness to engage in extracurricular activities and school events.
