Project Manager - Children's Services

Barnsley Council are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join their Programme Office to drive and support the delivery of their Children's Services Transformational Programme. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people and is ready to lead projects that improve services across the Borough.
Day to Day of the role:
- Lead and drive projects of varying scales within the Children's Services Development Plan.
- Utilise project management skills to support and challenge progress, delivering inclusive and collaborative projects on time.
- Prioritise workload effectively, report to key Workstreams, and build effective working relationships with managers, internal colleagues, and partners.
- Monitor risks and deal with issues to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perform complex data analysis and interpretation to promote quality practice and continuous service improvement.
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations, contributing to the development of service strategies, policies, and plans.
- Liaise, negotiate, influence, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 6 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in large complex change projects and continuous service improvement.
- Knowledge of local and national strategies, policies, and legislation relevant to children's services.
