A Finance Assistant position has opened up in an established manufacturing company located on the outskirts of Port Talbot. This role requires a team player who is proficient in various financial tasks, and who has excellent attention to detail.

Description
The Role:
- Fast paced role in a busy manufacturing environment
- Part of a small team
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and month-end procedures
- Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers, and partners as needed
- Support with credit control
- Support the implementation of financial policies and procedures
- Keep accurate records for all accounting transactions
- Reconcile balance sheets
- Complete bank and intercompany reconciliations
- Process expenses
- Participate in financial projects and collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team
This role will initially be a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension and/or a permanent contract.
Profile
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a similar role
- AAT or other relevant qualifications, preferred
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
- Proficiency in major software programs, including Excel and accounting software, such as SAGE
- Experience working with various currencies
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Able to use own initiative
- Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
