Production Supervisor Electronics

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Production Supervisor (Electronics biased) to join their team on a contract basis. This key role involves supervising various production areas within the manufacturing department, including mechanical assembly, soldering, cable and wiring, potting, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and supervise production staff within the defined area of responsibility
  • Ensure all relevant procedures are followed and carry out operator audits
  • Ensure operators are trained for their tasks and have the necessary tools and resources
  • Respond to any difficulties promptly and assess the situation to determine if the job can continue
  • Meet KPI targets of quality, on-time delivery, expenditure, productivity, and cost reduction
  • Advise management of any issues that could affect delivery
  • Assist in problem investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventative actions
  • Promote and maintain the morale of production staff
  • Assist with the recruitment and training approval of staff within the area of responsibility
  • Conduct team briefings to inform staff of operational issues, company news, and performance against KPIs
  • Promote the continuous improvement policy and help implement initiatives in a structured fashion
  • Perform any other duties relevant to the position

Job Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge of working in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal
  • Resourceful and able to solve problems in a structured and logical manner
  • Motivated and calm, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Good time management skills
  • Sound knowledge of IPC soldering and assembly standards
