Job Title: Business Rates and Recovery Team Leader Vacancy
Job description: Venn Group are working on behalf of an organisation based in the East Midlands to recruit a Business Rates and Recovery Team Leader. The contract is for 3 months and they can offer fully remote for the right candidate
Duties:
- Develop staff and team performance through training, process improvement and performance management
- Working in line with the Council's Vision and Values to promote a culture which aims to deliver a high standard of service by working together to exceed our customer expectations
- Supervising and supporting the Business Rates Team to ensure the timely and efficient handling of service requests and the prompt and efficient billing and collection of Business Rates Delegating funding for individual pupils with severe and complex needs
- Supporting the Revenues and Benefits Manager in the setting of targets, and the monitoring of performance ensuring any downturn in performance is quickly identified and reported with recommendations for improvement
- Collating, preparing and submitting Government statutory returns in relation to Business Rates
- Developing, establishing and continually improving Business Rates administration and debt recovery procedures to include a systematic and managed approach to these functions
- Ensuring there are adequate controls in place to minimise any risk of loss of income to the Council
