Service Engineer (Site Based)

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team at a specialist industrial equipment provider. The role involves undertaking routine servicing and reactive repairs on a range of industrial support equipment. This position offers a mix of workshop-based work and occasional client site visits across the UK.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct routine servicing and reactive repairs on industrial support equipment.
- Diagnose problems with a keen eye and fix issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide quotes and estimates for repair jobs, demonstrating a commercial attitude.
- Majority of work will be conducted in the workshop, with occasional travel to client sites for in situ repairs.
- Utilize a mix of mechanical and electrical repair skills to diagnose faults and repair or replace components using hand tools and basic electrical techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Ability to diagnose faults accurately and efficiently.
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic electrical repair techniques.
- Commercial acumen to quote and estimate time on repair jobs.
- Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
