Cedar is recruiting an Interim Financial Controller to join a boutique charity in London. The post-holder will be responsible for preparing year end statutory accounts and quarterly VAT reporting, delivering the annual audit and oversee all financial accounting matters within the team.
Rate: £300 - £400 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: London
Hybrid: 2-3 days in the office
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the finance team and stakeholders to produce high quality annual accounts for the charity.
- Deliver the year end accounts closure process accurately and in good time.
- Consolidate accounts across the Charity and subsidiaries for external reporting purposes.
- Act as the first point of contact for external auditors and ensure delivery against audit plan and timeline.
- File annual accounts with applicable regulatory bodies.
- Answer all queries relating to statutory reporting requirements.
- Oversee VAT returns, PAYE, Corporation Tax returns and all other tax matters including upkeeping a relationship with tax advisors.
- Responsible for a team of 3 members of staff
Essential Experience
- CCAB qualified.
- Worked in a Charity or for a Not-For-Profit organisation.
- Preparation of financial statements and production of the year end audit.
- Charity SORP and fund accounting.
- Implementation of a new finance system.
