Warehouse Picker
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Depot: LWC Doncaster
Main Duties
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the purpose of the picker will be to complete tasks which assist the day-to-day running of the delivery operations for the following day, ensuring all customer's orders are picked correctly, stacked correctly and wrapped in a professional manner picking from 1500 different products ranging from kegs to packaged beers to wines and spirits. Manual handling is one of the main requirements of this role.
Key Skills
- Adhering to good practice within the warehouse;
- Responsible for correctly picking orders and placing in the correct areas for deliveries;
- Reporting stock issues to supervisory or stock control team;
- Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times;
- Wearing the correct equipment for your job when on site, for example, safety boots, gloves, the correct high visibility vest;
- Assisting with ensuring that housekeeping standards are maintained at all times;
- Ensuring that all new stock delivered must be put away ASAP; all stock must be put away in the correct bin-bay location and match the delivery note received;
- Assisting with stock audits on a weekly basis;
- Assisting in the monthly stock takes at weekends if and when required;
- Flexible approach to working;
- Assisting drivers as mate (2nd man), when required.
Knowledge and Experience
- Being able to prioritise workloads;
- Good teamwork skills;
- Good communication skills;
- Good product knowledge;
- Flexi FLT licence is an advantage.
