Jenson Fisher are delighted to be retained by an innovative and ambitious Accountancy practice with a national presence who are looking to recruit a Bookkeeper to support their service to clients in Perth. Working as part of a small team with significant client exposure, you will benefit from the guidance of a number of senior members of the business alongside colleagues who currently support clients with their bookkeeping requirements.

As the Bookkeeper, it is essential that you have prior experience preparing accounts to trial balance stage either in practice or industry and have gained prior working knowledge using financial software such as Sage or Xero.

On a daily basis, your responsibilities will include:

  • Bookkeeping to trial balance stage for sole trader, partnership and limited company clients across a variety of sectors including agriculture.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Perform bank reconciliations for clients alongside reconciliation reports.
  • Collation of time and attendance for payroll and passing to the payroll department for processing.
  • Assist with month end and year end reporting by finalising entries, reconciling accounts and preparing preliminary financial statements.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients on a daily basis, resolving queries on accounts and representing the firm in a professional and friendly way.
