Secondary Mentor Job

Working with a small alternative setting in Dudley who are looking for an experienced mentor who have previously worked in a SEMH setting.
This is a full-time role to start immediately however school can wait for a start in September 2024. You will be expected to arrive for 8:20am and finish at 3:40pm. Due to changing timetables of pupils you may work shorter days, but this is to be confirmed on a case-by-case basis.
You will be supporting secondary aged children that are unable to attend full time education for a variety of reasons. Some pupils will be there on as short-term basis whilst others will be there permanent until the end of their school career.
This role is to support students that are temporarily there, and the time frame is unique to every child. Your role will be to engage these students and work with a wider team of specialists in identifying and supporting the pupil's needs. This is a learning environment and pupils will be taught Maths and English as a priority - at a level applicable to them. So, a good level of study yourself is important.
