Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE)

Role Overview:

The role will primarily focus on audit functions, supporting the Audit Manager in delivering high-quality audit services, there will also be opportunities to engage in accounts work as required, depending on the workload. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

  • Assist the Audit Manager with planning, executing, and finalising audits for clients across various industries, including pharmaceuticals, property, hospitality, and media.
  • Manage audit fieldwork, including substantive testing and the review of financial statements.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing queries and ensuring smooth communication throughout the audit process.
  • Work closely with the Audit Manager and other team members to ensure audit objectives are met.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff as needed.
  • Undertake tasks related to accounts preparation and review as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Keep up to date with changes in accounting and auditing standards. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in audit, with a strong understanding of auditing principles and practices. Experience in the relevant industries (pharma, property, hospitality, media) is advantageous.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload, balancing audit and accounts tasks as needed.
