Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Engage and inspire students of all abilities, fostering a love of learning and English.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of innovative curriculum and teaching practices.
- Participate in the school's comprehensive CPD programme and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices.
- Engage in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, to support student development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong subject knowledge in English.
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to the school's ethos of high aspirations and expectations for all students.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with ICT to support teaching and learning.
