Role: Head of People Capability - Procurement

Salary: Up to £114k plus benefits (including car)

Client: Major Utilities organisation

Location: Working from home with occasional travel to Warwickshire

The Head of People Capability - Procurement will sit within a major Utitlities organisation, who are leading the way to Net Zero and decarbonising their Electric and Gas systems, with investments of over £60bn across the next 5 years in new partnerships, technologies and unlocking opportunities for success.

Our client presents the opportunity to own the Learning and Development (L&D) pillar of their major Procurement and Supply Chain transformation, which is aimed at driving increased capacity and capability, through introduction of a new operating model and growth of their Procurement department by 100 heads.

A new, organisation-wide capability model has been developed, encompassing 12 capabilities based on 10 competencies, spanning people, process, and technology.

This role will pull together all People and Engagement capabilities, leading the end-to-end Learning Journey. You will drive excellence in engagement and communications, source and develop Training, and own the Learning and Development (L&D) competency for the Procurement Team.

You will define the Procurement Team's Learning Journey, determining how this is embedded, and how career pathways will be created. You will introduce new, staff Core Competencies, define the onboarding strategy, whilst leading and implementing activities which drive a culture of recruitment for success and retention.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading large capability enhancing programmes in Learning and Development (L&D).
  • Prior responsibility for staff coaching and training programmes dedicated to the Procurement Team.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, and relationship management experience.
  • Learning and Development (L&D) background, with experience building high-performing teams.
