I'm currently recruiting a General Accountant for a well-known company based in Milton Keynes. This is a vital part of the finance function where you will be a key member of the team and be able to add real value to the ever-changing finance department. This is a Fixed term contract until June 2025, so must be able to commit the full duration.
Responsibilities include:
- Bank Reconciliation
- VAT tasks
- AP/AR
- Manage payroll - preparation and processing
- Month end processes - accruals and repayments
- Headcount reporting
- Assist with maintaining data to assist with budgets and forecasting
- Assist with annual audits
Skills must include:
- Previous accounting experience
- VAT experience
- Level 4 AAT or working towards
- Good understanding of Excel and Microsoft Office
- Can work to tight deadlines and adapt to new challenges
- Have exceptional attention to detail and can multi-task
- An enthusiastic attitude to work and the people around you
- Excellent analytical skills
