Speech and Langauge Therapist - Islington

Career Teachers are currently working with a vibrant and inclusive SEN school dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for children with a range of learning needs.

This school is now searching for a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the team.

Role overview:-

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students with speech, language and communication needs. You will work closely with Teachers, support staff and parents to develop and implement individualised therapy plans that enhance the student's communication skills and overall well-being.

You will need to:-

  • Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions to students with varying levels of communication challenges
  • develop, implement and review individualised therapy plans tailored to each students needs
  • provide training and support to teachers and support staff to integrate communication strategies into the classroom environment
  • assess the speech, language and communication needs of students using a range of assessment tools and methods.

Requirements:-

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language therapy
  • experience working with children and young people with SEN, ideally in an educational setting
  • strong understanding of a range of communication needs, including speech disorders, language delays and social communication difficulties
  • a patient, empathetic approach with a genuine passion for supporting the development of children with SEN
