We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the project team on a major new development in the centre of Portsmouth.
The project is to refurbish and convert several grade 2 listed buildings into apartments and build additional new houses and flats in the grounds of an old hospital and health care establishment. Project duration is circa £30 million and programme is approx 2.5 years.
The role is to set up initial packages, procure plant, materials and subcontractors and then manage the financial aspects of the scheme.
You will be responsible for managing multiple work faces and across the refurb and new build elements, manage payments, applications, variations and valuations and prepare reports and manage CVR's and you will report into a visiting Commercial Director.
Previous experience of working for a main contractor - Tier 1 or larger regional would be ideal and experience of new build housing and refurb/cut and carve schemes would be an advantage and the role would ideally suit either a Project level QS looking to make the step up to Senior or an established Senior QS looking to get involved in a unique and challenging project.
