Internal Sales Representative

Location: Halesowen

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00 (2:30 finish on Fridays)

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive rate of pay plus attractive commission

Our client, a leading company in the EDM industry, is offering a fantastic opportunity for a bright and aspiring individual to join their team. This role involves working alongside the external sales team to support sales efforts internally by proactively selling a full range of industry-leading EDM Consumables to a mixture of existing, lapsed, and new accounts. This position is not hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify customer needs and requirements to create sales opportunities.
  • Convert opportunities into orders.
  • Maintain and improve the database of prospects and existing customers.
  • Identify new leads.
  • Upsell to existing customers.
  • Detail the necessary production equipment, raw materials, and labour needs for production.
  • Submit reports on throughput.
  • Identify priority orders and plan accordingly to meet customer requirements.
  • Work with management to address any issues, setbacks, or quality control concerns.
  • Support the purchasing team to anticipate raw material demands.
  • Facilitate contract review meetings, discuss new production methods, and take notes and assign tasks.
  • Prepare, complete, and file production paperwork in line with ISO 9001 quality procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated successful track record in a sales role.
  • Ability to confidently sell a wide range of products.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ideally have a technical background.
  • Technical knowledge and experience of vacuum pump sales desirable.
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also independently.
  • Previous experience in cross and upselling.
  • Experience in the Aerospace or IGT sector is ideal.
  • Previous experience in the EDM sector is desirable.
