Internal Sales Representative
Location: Halesowen
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00 (2:30 finish on Fridays)
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive rate of pay plus attractive commission
Our client, a leading company in the EDM industry, is offering a fantastic opportunity for a bright and aspiring individual to join their team. This role involves working alongside the external sales team to support sales efforts internally by proactively selling a full range of industry-leading EDM Consumables to a mixture of existing, lapsed, and new accounts. This position is not hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify customer needs and requirements to create sales opportunities.
- Convert opportunities into orders.
- Maintain and improve the database of prospects and existing customers.
- Identify new leads.
- Upsell to existing customers.
- Detail the necessary production equipment, raw materials, and labour needs for production.
- Submit reports on throughput.
- Identify priority orders and plan accordingly to meet customer requirements.
- Work with management to address any issues, setbacks, or quality control concerns.
- Support the purchasing team to anticipate raw material demands.
- Facilitate contract review meetings, discuss new production methods, and take notes and assign tasks.
- Prepare, complete, and file production paperwork in line with ISO 9001 quality procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
- Demonstrated successful track record in a sales role.
- Ability to confidently sell a wide range of products.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ideally have a technical background.
- Technical knowledge and experience of vacuum pump sales desirable.
- Ability to work as part of a team but also independently.
- Previous experience in cross and upselling.
- Experience in the Aerospace or IGT sector is ideal.
- Previous experience in the EDM sector is desirable.
