Workshop Engineer - Warrington
Full time Monday to Friday 38.5 hours per week
Our client SMT GB are looking for an experienced Workshop or Field based Engineer to join their well-established and professional team of engineers in Warrington as a Workshop Engineer.
About the Role
As Workshop Engineer at SMT GB, you will carry out service, maintenance and repair on Volvo heavy mobile plant machines within the workshop at their Warrington depot.
Key responsibilities:
- Service, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on Volvo construction equipment
- Installing software updates
- The accurate completion of paperwork
- Ordering parts as required
- Health and safety compliance
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land Based Engineering or HGV mechanics
- Previous mechanical experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant machinery
- Proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics, and electronics
- Welding and fabrication experience would be an advantage
