Lecturer in Teacher Education

We are seeking an experienced Lecturer in Teacher Education to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in Primary and/or Secondary school education, who are passionate about teaching and assessing at Levels 4, 5, and 6. The position offers flexibility with part-time and sessional opportunities available, and most teaching is delivered in the evening with observations during the school day.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach on Higher Education and Further Education courses, specifically Foundation Degree and Top Up degree for Learning Support Assistants.
- Conduct classroom observations during the school day.
- Engage with adult learners in Higher Education to ensure they reach their full potential.
- Provide training and support to students in specialised areas such as English as an Additional Language, Comparative Education, SEND (if applicable).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching and assessing at Levels 4, 5, and 6.
- Background in Primary and/or Secondary school education.
- Specialisms in English as an Additional Language, Comparative Education, SEND are beneficial but not essential.
- Enthusiastic and motivated individual with the ability to engage HE adult learners.
