We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker or Senior Social Worker to join our Disabled Children's Service in Gloucestershire. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional support and safeguarding to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people with disabilities. As a Social Worker, you will foster positive relationships within the service and with partner agencies, contributing to a stable and improvement-driven environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct assessments and provide support to children and young people with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals, focusing on the child's best interests.
  • Monitor and review cases regularly to ensure the continued effectiveness of the support provided.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with legal requirements and departmental policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to families, helping them to access services and resources.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to care and support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent.
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • UK-based statutory social work experience.
  • Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) if qualified after 2012.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to drive.
  • DBS clearance.
  • Experience at Senior Social Worker level is desirable.
