Description
As Head of Finance, reporting the the CFO, you will manage a team of 8, across Management Accounts, Financial Accounts, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Responsibilities will include
- Ownership of the monthly and quarterly accounting process
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports and statutory accounts.
- Review and improve financial processes to deliver improved efficiency
- Supporting the CFO with strategic goals, and in the creation of budgets and forecasts
- Reconciliation of all control and bank accounts
- Provision of insights and analysis based on accounting trends
- Tight management of the cash position, including agreement of revised payment plans with key creditors where necessary
- Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Promote financial awareness and understanding across the organisation.
Profile
The successful Head of Finance should have:
- A professional qualification in Accounting or Finance (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Multi-site experience in a related industry - leisure, hospitality, retail, healthcare etc (service providers from multiple locations with multiple cost bases)
- Tight financial control and credit management skills
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to strategically lead a team.
- A commercial understanding to drive financial decisions
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
This role is based on site near Dartford 3 days per week
