Your Role:

In this role, you'll lead key initiatives that impact production efficiency and quality. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring smooth integration of new products into the production process.
  • Implementing Lean Manufacturing strategies, such as Kaizen, 5S, and FMEA, to streamline production and reduce costs.
  • Driving health and safety improvements on the shop floor, ensuring the highest standards are met.
  • Developing and updating crucial production documents, including SOPs, BOMs, and AutoCAD drawings to standardise processes.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues through root cause analysis, and supporting the installation of new machinery to enhance productivity.

Who You Are

You're a proactive and experienced Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer with:

  • A HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in production engineering, ideally within manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, and FMEA.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and health and safety regulations (IOSH desirable).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar and solid IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills to work effectively across teams.
