Production Manager

£50,000 - £60,000 Per Annum
Our clients are specialists in their industry, serving the energy sector. They are looking for a Production Manager who has proven operational experience in an engineering environment.
Production Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the companies complex range of electronic and mechanical products are delivered within agreed requirements
- Plan production schedules, ensuring availability and delivery of parts
- Source and negotiate the best terms possible with reliable suppliers, implementing procurement strategies that champion quality
- Purchasing and managing stock inventory for existing products and developing manufacturing processes for new products
- Manage technicians and subcontractors, determine quality control standards and ensure these are upheld with the team
The ideal Production Manager will:
- Proven operational experience within an engineering environment
- Production planning, production management and resource management experience
- Engineering change management experience
- Have previously purchased complex machined and electronic parts from suppliers
- Proven experience of developing performance improvement initiatives including quality targets
- Have worked to Health and Safety and QMS (ISO9000 standards)
- HND or BEng in Engineering
- IT Literate, skilled in the use of MS Office/ ERP/ MRP systems
- Knowledge of manufacturing documentation (BOMS, engineering drawings and assembly instructions) with the ability to read engineering drawings
