Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Luton
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
I am partnering exclusively with a dynamic and growing organisation located on the outskirts of Luton. This company has experienced significant growth over the past few years and has identified the need for an internal HR professional. This newly created, standalone role will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources. The position is part-time, offering 20-30 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director and working closely with the Operations Director, you will play a key role in establishing and optimising HR processes, enforcing company policies, and supporting both managers and employees in performance and development management. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the recruitment process, enhancing employee retention, managing compensation packages, and ensuring the proper setup of contracts. You will handle general employee relations with a fair and impartial approach, fostering open conversations and adding a personal touch of care.
This role requires someone who can adeptly manage a diverse workforce and thrive in an environment that prioritises people development and wellbeing.
Required experience:
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role: this should include exposure to various HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training, and performance management
- Up to date knowledge of HR processes, policies, and legal requirements
- Understanding of business operations and management can be beneficial, especially in SME organiations where HR may play a more integrated role in business strategy
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
