Key Responsibilities:
- Support class teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for SEN students.
- Assist with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to overcome learning barriers.
- Monitor and record student progress.
- Promote positive behavior and support social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an SEN setting.
- Understanding of SEN teaching strategies and familiarity with the SEN Code of Practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
