Operations Manager

Think Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading organisation based in the St Albans area. This successful and growing company have an exciting newly created position for an Operations Manager to join their team. This opportunity would suit someone who has come from a similar background, preferably within the retail industry, to come and lead the Operations and Supply Chain team.
This company operate within an exciting industry, they work fully on site, and this person will be required to occasionally travel to a midlands based Warehouse, and sometimes Germany too.

Salary - £50,000 - £60,000 plus great benefits including gym membership after probation, private medical, free parking, and company pension.

Some of the duties will include:

  • Supervising the production, warehouse and shipping teams
  • Ensuring the departments are performing in line with company requirements
  • Providing support to the Production and Supply Chain Manager
  • Weekly travel to UK based warehouse (Midlands), and some travel to warehouse based in Germany
  • Evaluate, audit and develop systems and processes
  • Ensuring the business has inventory to fulfil demand
  • Working with factories on all PO placement and management
  • Managing stock levels of finished goods
  • Overseeing the wholesale orders
  • Manage purchasing, transport, warehouse and distribution
  • Drive communications between departments
  • Support the development of all staff members within production, shipping and warehouse
  • Supporting the MD and Management Team to deliver objectives
  • Build relationships with global IT team and help to manage IT processes
