Prospero Health and Social Care are supporting an excellent residential childcare provider with a home in Salisbury who are looking for an experienced residential childcare professional for a Senior Support Worker to take on an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Residential Team Leader in our Salisbury homes.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be working with children aged 7-16 who have experienced challenges in their lives. Your role will involve:
- Supporting young people in establishing healthy routines, attending appointments, and engaging in their education.
- Creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, respected, and valued.
- Helping children build positive memories, to develop good coping mechanisms, and reduce challenging behaviours.
- Maintaining accurate records

Requirements
To be considered in this role, you must have:
- A Level 3/4 in Children and Young People or a Level 3 in Residential Childcare
- A Full UK Driving License.
- Strong written and IT skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen actively.
- The ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development, including achieving a Level 4 diploma.
- Right to work in the UK
Working Hours
On average, you will work 39 hours per week, including two sleep-ins per week, for which you will receive an additional £50 sleep-in bonus.
