We are working with a client who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Engineer to join their team.

The ideal candidate for the HSE Engineer will be responsible for providing health & safety support to all levels of the business, ensuring safe practices are maintained throughout the business.

Reporting to the QHSE Manager the Key Responsibilities of the HSE Engineer will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage COSHH requirements and ensure products are safe for use.
  • Develop/design and enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Inspect the facility for safety and environmental compliance, while identifying potential hazards through completion of risk assessments.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents and maintain records, while also conducting safety training for employees.
  • Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections.
  • Stay up to date with new and current laws and regulations and ensure company compliance.
  • Support the company's sustainability commitments.

The ideal candidate for the HSE Engineer will have the following Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferably automotive or aerospace.
  • Knowledge manufacturing product and processes.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Hold good verbal and written communication skill to all levels of the business.
  • Can interpret and advise on HSE laws and legislation.
  • Strong Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • NEBOSH certified
  • Worked in a metalwork manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO14001 / ISO45001
  • IOSH
  • Relevant Manufacturing/Engineering – Degree/HNC/HND/NVQ/BTEC Level III

In return, the HSE Engineer can expect to receive a competitive salary and package, work Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm and a 1 o clock finish on a Friday. Benefits include - 3% employer pension contribution, 2 x salary life insurance, company sick pay, which increases based on length of service, employee assistance program.
