Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager to join a highly acquisitive business based in Southampton. The role would be reporting into the Financial Reporting Manager and responsible for a small team and producing management accounts. This position could offer study support for the successful candidate.
The Role:
- Day to day management of the department, ensuring the control of transactional finance and reporting are completed effectively
- Preparing the monthly management accounts to include a profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow statement, monthly journals and variance analysis
- Identify causes of variance from budget and creating monthly performance reports, analysing profits by revenue stream
- Recommend improvements to procedures and processes to ensure the department is working efficiently
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience within a similar position
- Studying towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA (essential)
- Previous management experience
- Strong Excel and analytical and reporting skills
- Strong attention to detail and good verbal and written communication skills
