Role: Maintenance Planner & Stores
Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 per annum + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am till 4:30pm
Location: Commutable from Mansfield, Nuthall, Matlock, Little Eaton, Derby and Nottingham and surrounding areas

This is a new, exciting and rare job and career opportunity for someone to take on a brand new role, to create, oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities; planning and stores within the factory! This is a chance to make it your own, integrate their new CMMS system, bring forth your ideas and help shape the future of the factory. Due to investment and on-going projects refurbishing and commissiong new machinery to the factory, this is why the role has been created.

Responsibilities

Starting up a new role within this factory, this role is varied and will include Stores, Maintenance Planning and some Purchasing work, within this 'family feel' manufacturing company.

  • Planning routine maintenance tasks, developing the CMMS Planned Maintenance System and the management and control of the site engineering stores facilities.
  • Effectively manage the designated stores in terms of the stock levels and housekeeping.
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering Managers to plan and purchase an stores stock and equipment required. This could be for planned shutdowns, planned maintenance, refurbishment work or project work.
  • Communicate with suppliers, place orders and manage inventory.
  • Control spending to agreed budgetary levels
  • Using various IT systems including SAP and CMMS to plan work and orders
  • Report on engineering spend to the Engineering Manager.
  • Support the engineering team in its flow of supplies required, ensure minimal disruption of work and continued productivity.
  • Think outside the box and offer ideas on how things could be improved.
  • Inspect delivered goods and raise queries with suppliers where required

Requirements

  • Career motivated and ready to tackle an exciting and rare job opportunity
  • Previous experience of Maintenance Planning or Engineering Planning or some form of Planning experience
  • Experience of using a CMMS system (Computerised Maintenance Management System) such as MAXIMO, AGILITY etc
  • Computer literate - able to use suite of Microsoft applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of Stores Work would be an advantage, although training can be provided
  • Any Engineering Industry experience would be an advantage
