Freight Operations Clerk

Monday to Friday - 40-hour week
£24,000- £25,000 per annum
Our client, a well-established business based in Harwich, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Freight Operations Clerk to join their team. Operating within the Freight Forwarding Division, you will play a crucial role in the domestic haulage service as well.
Responsibilities:
- Quoting clients and booking jobs using our in-house computer software
- Liaising with customers, agents, and suppliers to facilitate collections and deliveries.
- Handling preparation of documents such as Bill of Lading, Collection and Delivery Notes, and Customs paperwork
- Managing customs clearance processes
- Invoicing clients accurately and promptly
You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Sea Freight Operations and Customs Clearance. Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Excel and Word, is essential. The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to work under pressure, and possess excellent communication skills. Attention to detail and good time management are key attributes to thrive in this role.
