Legal Counsel, Real Estate - Solar/BESS/Wind - West of Greater London - up to £90k
Piper Maddox are exclusively working with a pan-European IPP that are looking to expand their legal team and add a real estate specialist.
This company has over a 2.5GW pipeline that will aid the progression to a net-zero future and they need a Legal Counsel for Real Estate who can lead from the front.
You'd be joining a team of experienced professionals and would be offering a skillset that is an absolute essential in their team. You'll be working closely with their dev team to make sure land leases, options, and other property related agreements are completed for a smooth transition into the next step in their developments.
Some key information about your role:
- Significant experience in contract review and negotiation.
- Strong ability to manage outside counsel/law firms.
- Team player and hard-worker, can-do attitude, with a good business judgement in providing compliant and business friendly legal solutions attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, manage multiple projects are of the essence.
- Background in Real Estate Law is needed as this would be the main focus for the start of the role.
- Oversee and manage all legal matters related to land options, leases, and other property-related agreements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support business objectives.
- Act as a coordinator for all internal legal requirements, strategy and co-ordination on legal matters
- Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and possess analytical skills necessary for competent legal interpretation.
- Experience in the UK renewables industry a must.
