We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Minibus Driver to join a reputable school, providing a crucial service transporting children safely to and from school. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to ensuring their safety and comfort during their daily commute.
Part time and term time only
Hours 7am - 9am and 3pm - 5pm
Hourly rate - £14.62ph
Day to Day of the role:
- Collect the minibus from school at 7:00 am and pick up children from several pickup points, ensuring arrival back at school by 8:25 am.
- At the end of the school day, drive the children from school at 3:45 pm, taking the reverse route back before returning the minibus to school.
- Transport pupils to and from school using the prescribed route and check pupils' names against the daily booking register.
- Ensure the minibus has sufficient fuel and inspect the vehicle before and after each journey.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the minibus on a daily basis and perform thorough cleaning regularly.
- Oversee the behaviour of pupils during transport to ensure their safety and report any incidents to the Bursar as soon as possible.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years driving experience, ideally in passenger transport.
- Full clean category D1 driving licence.
- Willingness to undergo minibus training provided by the organisation.
- First Aid Training – training can be provided if not already certified.
- Must be able to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Participation in compulsory Safeguarding Training is required.
