Assistant Accountant
- Annual Salary: £26,000-£30,000

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a leading manufacturing company located on the outskirts of Sittingbourne. This role is ideal for someone who is immediately available and possesses the ability to drive due to the location of the company. Experience with accounting software such as Sage or Xero is essential.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records and participate in audits.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Process invoices and follow up on late payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and calculate tax payments and returns.
- Support the accounting department with various tasks, including data entry and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage or Xero.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license due to the location of the workplace.
- Immediate availability for a long-term temporary assignment.
