We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) bias to join our team. This role involves managing water projects for a Tier 1 contractor on Severn Trent Water sites. The successful candidate will oversee projects across Derby, Birmingham, and Coventry, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Your new role
- Project Management:
Lead and manage multiple water projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery from inception to completion.
- Team Leadership:
Manage a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Cost Forecasting:
Utilise cost to complete methods (CVR) to accurately forecast project costs and manage budgets.
- Compliance:
Ensure all projects comply with NEC3/4 contracts and industry standards.
- Coordination:
Act as a Temporary Work Coordinator, ensuring all temporary works are planned and executed safely.
- Client Liaison:
Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Travel:
Regular travel to project sites in Derby, Birmingham, and Coventry.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager in the water industry.
- Further education in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (ideally a degree).
- Minimum of 5 years working with a Tier 1 Principal Contractor.
- Proficient in MSP (Microsoft Project).
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts.
- Ability to manage and lead a multidisciplinary team.
- Competent in cost forecasting using CVR methods.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- Temporary Work Coordinator certificate.
