A new exciting permanent opportunity has become available for an Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud solutions. This role is crucial for ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness of our IT infrastructure, aligning with business needs and driving our cloud adoption strategy.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Collaborate with senior management to contribute to the overall strategy and deliver by architecting solutions.
- Work alongside other smes and engineers to ensure solutions complement each other and align with the overall strategy.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve infrastructure.
- Maintain and work on roadmaps for digital services initiatives.
- Manage integrations between different systems to create a seamless user experience.
- Migrate existing workloads to the cloud and optimize cloud-native applications.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration for efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure performance proactively.
- Collaborate with teams to design and deploy infrastructure solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support on cloud initiatives.
- Communicate complex technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Expertise in designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud service models.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance regulations, and security tools.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Ability to plan and execute change management strategies for successful digital workplace initiatives.
