We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large housing association in London EC1V for a Building Manager on a temporary basis for an initial 3 months. The Building Manager will be responsible for an over 55's estate, managing sign ups, viewings, ASB complaints, H&S checks, and Fire alarm checks.
Other duties include.
- You will be the Key holder for the Building and ensure security of the community areas and facilities.
- Be the first point of contact and manage access to the building for residents, contractors, and visitors.
- Meet contractors on site and facilitate access to communal areas to carry out repairs, planned maintenance and servicing facilities and plant equipment.
- Allow access to utility companies for essential maintenance and servicing equipment.
- Monitor and facilitate resolution of complaints relating to communal areas.
- Monitor cleaning staff to ensure the property conditions relating to communal areas and facility.
- Carry out regular inspections of building to identify and resolve repairs.
- Repairs, Facilitate access and Guidant to the affected areas for contractors.
Experience and pre-qualification criteria.
- Facilities management experience
- Excellent customer services skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise your workload whilst being adaptable to the needs of the residents or service requirements.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to adapt your approach, dependant on the audience.
- Overall knowledge and experience of working with older people, and/or general public and service providers in a service-based role.
- Good IT skills (word/excel/outlook/ in-house systems)
- Knowledge and understanding of the housing/building management sector.
- Understanding or experience of health and safety issues and management
- Flexible to cover out of hours emergencies, and alternative sites, where required.
Able to drive, with the use of a car for work purposes.
DBS will be carried out before the role can commence.
