A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a brilliant client of ours who are a leading UK manufacturer!

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee projects from concept stage approval through to launch. This role is ideal for someone who excels in cross-functional collaboration with capabilities of maintaining critical paths for both internal and external customers. Regular supplier and customer liaison, as well as a high degree of cross-functional work, will be integral to this position.

Role: Project Manager

Salary: £42,000 - £46,000

Location: Birmingham

Monday to Friday - Full time, permanent (08:30 – 16:30)

Hybrid working model: 2 days office / 3 days remote working

Day to Day of the role:

  • Coordinate all new project development activities according to customer timelines.
  • Work closely with internal teams to meet customer briefs and ensure successful product launches.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the customer base, exploring new opportunities by showcasing our capabilities.
  • Communicate project activities across various stakeholder meetings and maintain cross-functional collaboration.
  • Engage in technical discussions with customers relating to new developments.
  • Support customer visits and product launches at sites.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing teams to ensure launches are within agreed timeframes and commercial terms.
  • Work with Demand Planning & Procurement teams to ensure new materials are set up and included in the forecast as per the project brief.
  • Assist with post-launch product reviews.
  • To help co-ordinate product launches with Customers, Sales team, Transport, Product Development Manager and Demand Planning Manager
  • Provide clear and accurate project updates to the Development Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to maintain critical paths.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with demand planning and procurement processes.
  • The ability to build strong, strategic relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Competence in reporting and providing updates to management.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required as travel to other sites, customers and suppliers is required on occasion
