Salary: £50,518 pending 2024/25 pay award

Position: Permanent, Full Time, 37 Hours per week

Location: Birmingham/ Hybrid

If you have the wonderful specialist internal comms experience/skills and you're an excellent relationship builder with brilliant emotional intelligence, we'd love to hear from you. The business partner roles will cover different areas of the business advising our leadership teams on how to increase employee engagement.

This is an opportunity to really shape internal communication at Citizen and to lead on the internal comms channel strategy.

What your role involves:

  • Strategic Advisor: Imagine being the compass for our colleagues. You'll develop and deliver a consistent narrative that aligns with Citizen's overall strategy, purpose, values, and behaviours. It's like weaving a story that everyone can relate to
  • Channel Maestro: Picture yourself as the conductor of an orchestra. You'll lead our internal communication channels, using both research methods (think surveys and data) to make sure they meet the needs of our awesome employees
  • Trusted Coach: Imagine coaching our leadership teams. You'll help them deliver impactful employee communication, building trust by being open and honest. It's like being the secret sauce behind their inspiring messages
  • Relationship Builder: Think of yourself as a networking guru. You'll build outstanding relationships with our leaders, becoming their go-to advisor for internal comms. It's all about trust and collaboration
  • Values Ambassador: Imagine spreading our values like wildfire. You'll work proactively with colleagues across Citizen, guiding communication activities that reflect who we are. It's like infusing our brand into every message
  • Coaching Line Manager: Picture yourself as a growth cheerleader. You'll coach your team, encouraging their development. Think of it as setting the GPS for success and giving them a boost when needed

As our Internal Communications Business Partner, we need you to have:

  • Exceptional communicator with an ability to translate complex business materials into compelling content for a range of internal communications channels
  • Experience of developing and delivering communication strategies
  • Experience of managing and leading multi-channel communications
  • Excellent writing skills, storytelling, and people-centred communications.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of the full range of comms channel mix
  • Good knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques and methodologies
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple comms plans delivering on time and to budget
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, CMS, intranets.
