KYC Administrator

Thomas and Dessain are recruiting on behalf of a large financial services company who are looking for a KYC Admin with great communication skills to join their legal and compliance team. In London you will join and office of 150 people; this is a full time position working 8.30 - 5.30 office based 4 days with 1 day WFH option.

The Job:

  • Managing 'outbound' responses to trading counterparty KYC/AML requests and the documentary aspects of on-boarding of new trading counterparties.
  • Maintaining relevant internal and external-facing KYC and legal databases and resources.
  • Liaising with multiple internal stakeholders including board members / authorised signatories.
  • Obtaining certifications/notarisations to enable compliance with a wide range of international counterparties' KYC/AML requirements.
  • Assessing counterparties' compliance and KYC/AML requirements, managing expectations and satisfactorily resolving queries.
  • Assisting with counterparty and vendor onboarding including 'inbound' KYC/AML requirements.
  • Onboarding due diligence of external clients of an affiliated trading platform including 'inbound' KYC/AML analysis and related client engagement and assisting with policies and procedures and their implementation.
  • Assist Compliance team with KYC reviews as part of the Financial Crime Programme.
  • Ad hoc projects, as required.

The Ideal candidate:

  • Relevant KYC/AML experience in a regulated financial services business (or similar).
  • Confident user of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Good written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills - will be a point of contact for authorised signatories and senior management, and regularly deal with external KYC and other counterparty queries.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the legal and compliance team.
  • Ability to effectively work independently, managing own workload and taking own initiative to identify and solve problems.
  • Strong organisational skills - will be asked to handle workstreams concurrently, often to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentially at all times.
