About the Company They are a private equity backed, fast growth, dynamic multi -site real estate, hospitality, and restaurant company. As part of their growth, they have a newly created role for a qualified accountant to join their central finance team based in London. The right candidate must have strong technical accounting knowledge and be hungry to develop and grow with the business.

Who they are looking for: Essential skills and requirements To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential requirements:

  • Be a Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACMA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA) who has gained experience within a multi-site restaurant business.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and able to explain clearly and concisely financial information to management and the CFO.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and accounting skills including consolidation and also a thorough understanding of P&L and ledgers within a volume-based restaurant business.
  • A thorough understanding of all customer payment methods and their different accounting entries and able to provide analysis as well as supporting the introduction of new processes to account for each method of customer payment.
  • A strong appreciation of food and beverage margins and costs in running a restaurant business to provide meaningful analysis.
  • Comfortable implementing new processes and policies.
  • A hands-on financial manager able to work to tight deadlines within a small and busy finance team.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Ambitious and driven to grow

The Role Reporting to the CFO, you will own the month end process from beginning to end. You must be comfortable implementing new processes and policies. You will be joining a collaborative team and will enjoy working together to deliver the goals of the finance team and the wider business. You will be expected to get to know the business, to enable you to deliver high quality and meaningful management Information. The business are going through a period of change within the team, and with that require somebody who is pro-active and confident in getting fully stuck in to a dynamic and challenging role. Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of accurate monthly management accounts at restaurant and company level.
  • Consolidation of multiple accounts and management information from various entities, ensuring accounts are accurate.
  • Develop reporting processes and controls, and management reports including meaningful analysis.
  • Reduce & challenge month end timelines.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and ownership.
  • Establish a solid fixed asset process to; record new assets, post depreciation, and reconcile to the balance sheet.
  • Implement new systems and processes to help streamline tasks and improve efficiencies.
  • Support on the annual audit.
  • As hoc projects include introducing new processes to account for different payments from customers at multi-sites ensuring each site has separate accounts
  • Ad hoc work to help drive business performance as and when required.
