Job Opportunity: Temporary Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Greenford – Hybrid Role with on-site parking
Start Date: 14th July 2025
Duration: 2 -3 months
Salary: £35,000–£38,000 per annum equivalent (paid hourly via PAYE £16.00 - £18.27)
Hours: 40 hours/week (8:00am–4:30pm or 8:30am–5:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Interview: Conducted via Microsoft Teams
About the Role
We're currently seeking a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy finance team and provide essential support during a key period. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounts payable experience who is available for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and payments, ensuring ledgers are accurate and up to date
- Communicate with vendors via phone, email, and in person to resolve payment queries
- Process monthly employee expenses in line with company policy
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist with the annual audit
- Support the finance team during month-end processes
- Submit data for government surveys (e.g., ONS)
- Contribute to team KPIs and finance department goals
- Ensure compliance with statutory accounting policies and internal controls
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
- Seeking for a candidate with 3-5 years' experience within Accounts Payable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Available to start from 14th July and commit for the full duration
