We are looking for a Facilities Support Officer to assist with cover at Bodlondeb, Conwy and Coed Pella and Colwyn Bay to ensure that required facility services are provided to appropriate buildings, including the provision of an efficient Post Room and Courier Service.
Various shift patterns between 06:00am and 20:00pm - Monday to Friday with pre-arranged weekend work.
Contract until September 2024.
Duties will include:
- Undertake security functions for the offices and associated grounds and annexes, ensuring safe custody of keys, operation of building alarms and opening and closing of buildings in accordance with their opening times.
- Assist in the operations of the buildings to include heating and lighting controls, closure of doors and windows, operations of emergency exits and testing and recording of alarms.
- Identify and report faults, deficiencies and defects in respect of the building.
- Act as point of contact for contractors and/or visitors as directed, ensuring correct documentation is completed.
- Ensure all waste material is disposed of properly and to maintain outside rubbish bins ensuring all waste is disposed of correctly.
- Maintain outside driveways, car parks, main entrances and other access areas to ensure they are free from obstructions and kept in a presentable manner.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- A good level of general education, including a minimum of 5 GCSEs.
- Full, clean, manual UK driving license.
- Excellent communication, listening and team working skills.
- Able to respond quickly and professionally to emergency call outs.
- Good level of physical fitness with the ability to safely handle various bulky items such as mailbags, furniture, securing windows etc.
