Our client is currently looking for a CNC Miller to join their team on a full-time basis.

CNC Miller (Programmer/Setter) - Roles & Responsibilities

  • Programme and Set Up 4-Axis Milling Centre
  • Programme and operate robotic loading systems, with training provided.
  • Define and implement best practice machining methods, continuously seeking improvements in efficiency and quality.
  • Develop and update comprehensive setup sheets, tooling lists, and method documentation.
  • Oversee machine operators, acting as the main point of contact for the production department.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Generate CAM milling programmes using Fusion 360, posting programmes to machines.
  • Regularly inspect machines to identify and address any mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to prioritise and distribute work effectively, maximising productivity and resource allocation.

CNC Miller (Programmer/Setter) - Skills & Experience

  • An experienced Miller, Able to Programme CNC Machines using Fanuc controls.
  • Ability to assess, update, and optimise current processes while resolving production issues.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure precise machining.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM Software - Fusion 360 or similar CAD and CAM applications.
  • Supervisory Experience in CNC Machining and Production Environment.
  • Skilled in using measuring equipment with a high level of accuracy to ensure quality standards.
  • Performing tasks in line with the company's processes, procedures, and operating standards.
  • Ensure machines remain well-stocked, tooled, and checked for errors to reduce interruptions and downtime.
