Job Title: Tendering Engineer
Location: Chippenham
Contract Type: Temporary- Hybrid role- on site 2 days minimum per week
Hourly Rate: £60 - £70
Our client, an industry- leading electrical company, is currently seeking a technically minded Tendering Engineer with a specialisation in protection relays. This temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team and contribute to the tendering process for Micom Relays.
Key Responsibilities:
Review customer specifications and requirements to prepare technically compliant and commercially competitive tender quotations for Micom Relays.
Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and provide technical support during the tendering process.
Coordinate with various internal stakeholders, including the expert technical team, marketing, and various factories, to gather necessary inputs for tender responses.
Manage customer queries and negotiations, ensuring a positive experience for all parties involved.
Participate in tender clarification meetings and technical discussions as required.
Experience with SAP is considered a plus.
Skills and Attributes:
Proven experience in technical tendering or engineering roles related to protection relays would be a plus, but general tendering experience will also be considered.
In-depth knowledge of protection relays, applications, and relevant industry standards.
Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to interpret customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and engage with customers.
Proficiency in tendering processes, commercial aspects, and project management.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
IT literate, with proficiency in standard computer systems. Experience with SAP will be desirable.
Education:
- Essential: GCSE Mathematics and English.
- Essential: HNC in Electrical Engineering, electrical engineering certifications, or equivalent experience.
Fluent in English (written and verbal).
