£55,000 - £60,000 + benefits

Fantastic new fixed term contract opportunity for an experienced Project Manager for this market leading specialist services provider based in Bristol. Reporting into the Project Management Lead the Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Working closely with the BA and Change teams, internal customers and external partners delivering key change helping the business to reach its business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, including the creation and maintenance of project plans, managing resources, working with third parties and strategic partners.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects including reporting, deliverables, and benefits tracking. Provide best practice and advice on project management frameworks and standards for PMO and wider business.
  • Ensure budgets are managed by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Manage stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment to deliver the project.
  • Work with the business to understand the requirements and scope of the project.
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers to deliver to time, cost and quality.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with IT teams and members of the business at all levels.
  • Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time.
  • Be efficient - think about the value being generated as if you`re spending your own money.
  • Achieve any targets and KPIs as agreed with line manager.

Skills Required:

  • Proven previous experience of working with finance transformation projects and ideally with finance systems transformation projects.
  • Great interpersonal skills to work well with your key business partners.
  • Proven track record for planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Experienced in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience of working within a PMO environment.
  • Proven experience of Business Change Techniques.
  • Experience in delivering projects with solutions involving both bespoke and package solutions.
  • Able to translate IT speak into clear language that non-IT colleagues can understand.
  • PMP/ Prince 2 certification.
  • Basic understanding of data protection legislation and experience of developing and maintaining a team environment where personal data is kept protected, confidential and secure.
  • Any experience with Oracle Fusion would be highly desirable.
