Key Responsibilities:
- A Strategic Buyer supporting a Procurement Manager looking after the Logistics category
- Run tenders working with operation teams, drivers, and other stakeholders across business with a focus on sustainability of delivery which will have a huge impact on the business
- Strategic focus - reduce cost , bring new ideas, support in executing category strategy
- Proactive in building relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and demonstrating the value procurement can add
Key Skills:
- Curiosity, getting under the skin of BAU and an ability to see how BAU fits with the future category strategy
- Strategic buying experience is essential
- Analytical abilities - able to do an opportunity assessment and make recommendations
- Organised and structured in approach
- Ability to work with ambiguity and in a fast paced environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- CIPS or a desire to do CIPS
