Maintenance Support Coordinator

As the Maintenance Support Coordinator you will be assisting with major projects as well as supporting the Maintenance Team reacting and resolving to day to day site issues. You will be working closely within the team to identify and implement improvements to ancillary plant reliability, safety and product quality.

You will be the main Maintenance Department, point of contact for Environmental, Health & Safety activities on site, working closely with the Site IMS Manager. You will need to have an understanding of both electrical and mechanical applications.

Responsibilities of our Maintenance Support Coordinator:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring maintenance of ancillary plant and equipment, service schedules, planned routine maintenance, statutory inspection & testing and Insurance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with ATEX regulations and other safety standards related to utilities and maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the IMS Manager on behalf of the Maintenance department with EH&S activities including Fire Alarm/Sprinkler.
  • Risk Assessments, Safe Working procedures, Accident reporting and investigation.
  • Ensuring completion of routine works orders and work requests, including recording parts used and time taken to build an accurate plant history.
  • Review of maintenance routines to ensure best use of resources.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates on maintenance schedules, utility status, and any potential impact on production

What we are looking for in our Maintenance Support Coordinator:

You will have:

  • Experience in Facilities management & repairs
  • High attention to detail
  • Professional demeanour
  • Willingness to train and develop within the business

Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit:

  • City & Guilds (or equivalent) Electrical qualification in minor works
  • IOSH Managing Safety
  • COMPEX / ATEX
  • Experience of working within a hazardous area (DSEAR)
  • CAPEX applications
  • Knowledge of ISO Standards
