Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:30pm or 9:00am – 6:00pm (with 30-minute lunch)
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays (rota): 8:00am – 12:30pm

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in automotive services, who excels in customer communication and is committed to delivering exceptional service. As a Service Advisor, you will act as the key point of contact between customers and the workshop, ensuring a smooth and satisfactory experience.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Greet customers professionally and warmly, both in person and over the phone.
  • Efficiently schedule service and repair appointments.
  • Accurately record customer concerns and service requests.
  • Provide clear explanations of necessary work and ensure customer understanding.
  • Prepare detailed job cards for the workshop with all necessary information.
  • Liaise with workshop technicians to monitor vehicle progress.
  • Keep customers informed about work status, potential delays, and any additional repairs needed.
  • Estimate costs and provide quotations for repairs and services.
  • Manage invoicing and prompt payment collection.
  • Conduct follow-ups with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure precise data entry into the system.
  • Promote additional services and products as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, health & safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Service Advisor within the motor trade.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive services and repair processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in IT and dealership management systems (e.g., Kerridge, GRP, 1-Link, MFL).
  • Customer-focused attitude with a proactive and positive approach.
  • Full UK driving licence is preferred.
